My Vote: Bars for Pure Value

Right, for pure metal value, bars win hands down, especially for gold. Coins like Britannias are great for CGT and liquidity, but they come with higher premiums, plain and simple. At £3234.84/oz for gold and £51.05/oz for silver, those premiums eat into your stack. If your goal is maximum weight for your money, bulk bars are the way. Forget the fancy designs. Stack that metal as cheaply per ounce as possible. Bars offer that unmatched efficiency.

For a UK stacker, the CGT exemption on a Gold Britannia more than justifies the premium. Pure and simple, it's worth it.
Bars are ideal for pure value. My stack's so discreetly vaulted, even *I* occasionally forget what I own, which probably says more about my memory than my investment strategy.
